Jerry Crowe Hall Of Fame Inductee
Jerry Crowe of Fort Ashby has been nominated to the WVHEA Hall Of Fame for his commitment to hunter safety and the WVHEA system. He is a dedicated hunter that believes that one gets more enjoyment from hunting when done as safely as possible. He prides himself as a role model for young and new hunters to be as safe and as honest as possible. He has been teaching Hunter Education for over 14 years and been the team leader for 18 classes. He is serving currently as the President of the WVHEA serving with self-sacrificing commitment to a leader. He was formerly the Vice-president for the organization. He does his best to set an example with his leadership and humbleness and has an open ear for suggestions to make the organization the best it can be. He was District 2 Instructor of the Year for 2019; and WV State Instructor of the Year for 2023. He is also a Life Member of the WVHEA. Jerry also volunteers with 4H and Archery, Girl Scouts and Mineral County Schools over the years. A Volunteer 4H Archery Instructor for two years in Mineral County. He volunteers for the Annual Challenge Hunt. He also is a certified Boater Education Instructor, as well as a Hunter Education Instructor in Maryland’s Hunter Education Program. Jerry has a passion for teaching others to be responsible hunters. He has educated all three of his daughters to be safe and accomplished hunters and takes pride in that.
