NWTF• Current Sponsor member of NWTF for 17 years.• Current NWTF District Director for the West Virginia state chapter; covering Hunting Heritage Banquets for the WV Regional Director.• West Virginia State J.A.K.E.S. Coordinator• West Virginia’s 1st Women in the Outdoors event coordinator.• West Virginia’s (3-time) Wheelin’ Sportsmen event co-coordinator.• Chapter president of the Middle Island Longbeard’s local chapter for (18 years); Lead chapter to earning West Virginia’s “DNR Conservation Organization of the Year Award” and several Golden Gobbler Achievements and was West Virginia’s 1st 5-STAR chapter running for seven years.• Nominated for Governor’s Sportsman of the Year award.• Local JAKES event coordinator for the Middle Island Longbeard’s, winning Six, (6) National Awards for their events including, “Best of the Best” Award; Earning the chapter a spot on the “NWTF Outreach Hall of Fame.”• Coordinator of (3) chapter JAKES/XTREME JAKES Youth Squirrel Hunts.• Coordinator of several sanctioned NWTF turkey calling contests and turkey shoots. Judge @ 3 Cabela’s NWTF Calling Contests; Master of Ceremonies (1).• Hunting Heritage Banquet Chairman 15 years; earning “Chairman’s Award.”• Was recognized by West Virginia state chapter for: “Breast Feather Award” – Volunteer of the Year, “Boss Bird Award” – Chapter President of the Year, “Jim Pack Award” – Director of the Year; for work with the JAKES outreach program. MIL Chapter inducted into “ NWTF Outreach Hall of Fame”• Recruited and signed-up over 3000 new JAKES/XTREME JAKES members Other Outreach Organizations
• 4-H Shooting Sports Certified Shotgun Instructor.• Life member and West Virginia Hunter Safety Volunteer Instructor – (18 years); WVHEA 2005 Instructor of the Year.• WVHEA Board of Directors, District VI (8 years) - current.• WVHEA Instructor’s “HALL of FAME” committee chairman 2014• Certified to teach Hunter’s Education in Ohio and West Virginia.• Worked with 4-H, FFA, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.• Taught “Hooked on Fishing – Not on Drugs” five years in WV schools.• Founded “Young Ethical Sportsmen” organization in 1998
Personal
• Has introduced to hunting and mentored 52 new hunters to take their first deer and called-in thirteen (13) longbeards to new turkey hunters and five (5) jakes to young hunters to take their first birds.• Completed Grandpa/Grandson Slam, (Turkey Hunts) 2004 – 2013.• Taken over 100 children fishing to catch their “First Fish.”
